The Envision Evanston 2045 process will develop a new comprehensive plan and zoning code that aims to reflect the community's shared vision for the future of Evanston. The City’s current comprehensive plan was approved in 2000 and the current zoning code was approved in 1993.
To kick off Envision Evanston 2045, the City is hosting a launch event on Tuesday, February 6, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Community members will hear from community leaders, learn about this process, and see how Envision Evanston 2045 is connected to various sectors of the community. Most importantly, community members will share their vision for Evanston in 2045. The event is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend and participate. A Spanish interpreter will be available at the event.
