The Lakeshore Shuffle 5K Run & Walk is a spirited 5K event along the picturesque Evanston lakefront. With stunning views of Lake Michigan as your backdrop, this event offers participants a unique blend of scenic beauty and energetic competition. Whether you're a seasoned runner or prefer walking, the Lakeshore Shuffle 5K welcomes all. Join us for a morning of camaraderie, fitness, and fun as we shuffle our way along Evanston's breathtaking lakefront path.
All participants wishing to run/walk the Lakeshore Shuffle 5K course must be registered for the event, have a completed waiver, and have a race bib that is visible while on the course. This race is timed and all finishers will receive a finisher's medal. The race begins at 9 AM. Participants can self-select what pace and wave they want to be in. Participants must finish within 1 hour and 30 minutes of the last wave start time. Strollers are not permitted. The start and finish area is located just east of Arrington Lagoon. If threatening weather conditions force cancellation of the event, no refunds can be provided, since funds were already spent in preparation for race day.
Participants will start by heading north on Sheridan Road to Campus Drive where they will head out to the Northwestern Landfill and back south on the Evanston Lakefront path to the south end of Lee St Beach, and then back north on Lake Shore Blvd to complete the loop. Spectators are welcome. Packet/bib pick-up will take place the week before the event. More info to come.
