DESCRIPTION:Join Downtown Evanston on Saturday, December 6, 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., to watch the annual tree lighting at Fountain Square with Santa and other special visitors. All families, friends, and neighbors are invited to Fountain Square in Downtown Evanston to celebrate the holidays at our annual tree lighting event with the Mayor, City Clerk, Santa, and other special guests. Throughout the evening, you'll enjoy holiday-themed music performed by several local singing groups. Live entertainment will start at 4:30 p.m. The brief tree lighting ceremony will take place right around 5 p.m., followed by more live entertainment at Fountain Square. Starting around 5:30 p.m., Santa will offer free photo ops in The Crystal Ballroom at The Merion (1611 Chicago Avenue). More details to come. Learn more about this event.
