Join the Fleetwood-Jourdain Theatre for their showing of Honey Pot: Black Southern Women Who Love Women. In co-production with Northwestern University's Theatre Department, E. Patrick Johnson's Honeypot opens with the fictional trickster character Miss B. barging into the home of Dr. EPJ, informing him that he has been chosen to collect and share the stories of her people, queer Black women throughout the American South. Combining oral history with magical realism, music and poetry, Honeypot is an engaging and moving narrative that reveals the complexity of identity.
Showings will take place from May 17 through June 1, at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center:
- Saturdays 7 p.m.
- Sundays 3 p.m.
