Parking
Citations
Pay or contest a parking ticket.
Wheel Tax and Residential Parking Permits
Pay the Wheel Tax or purchase a Residential Parking Permit.
In-person payments for parking citations, wheel tax, and residential parking permits can be made at the City Collector's Office.
Public Works
Water, Sewer and Sanitation Bills
Pay your City of Evanston water/sewer/sanitation bill online.
You can also pay your water/sewer/sanitation bill by phone by calling 844-789-1449, or pay in person at the City Collector's Office.
Waste Services
Purchase a reusable food and yard waste cart.
Purchase yard waste stickers.
NOTE: Yard waste stickers are currently unavailable for online purchase due to limited availability. You can buy these stickers at The Collector's Office, but we highly recommend contacting Evanston 3-1-1 to confirm their availability before you go. You can reach them by calling or texting (847) 448-4311, or simply dial 311 if you are in Evanston.
Purchase an additional trash cart.
To replace a lost or damaged trash, recycling, or food and yard waste cart, or to change the level of your service, please call or text 847-448-4311 or submit a service request online.

Building & Development Services
Permits
Pay for a Building Permit. After you receive your invoice, please enter the permit number as shown with all caps and the dash (ex. 22ABCD-0000).
Inspections
Pay for a Re-Inspection (Electrical, Plumbing, Structural/Insulation or Mechanical Re-Inspections). Enter your permit number as shown on your permit or invoice using all caps and a dash (ex. 20PLMB-0000). To find the permit number, search the address in our permit database.
Contractor Registration
Complete payment to register as a contractor. First-time contractors must e-mail the permit desk (permitdesk@cityofevanston.org) a completed Contractor Registration form with a valid certificate of insurance to receive an invoice for payment. After you receive your invoice, enter your permit number as shown on your permit or invoice using all caps and a dash (ex. 20LICC-0000). Learn more about registering as a contractor.
Contractor Registration Renewal
Renew your contractor registration. Enter your permit number, which is the same as your registration number (ex. 20LICC-0000), and upload a valid certificate of insurance. If you do not have your permit number, search our permit database using the exact name of the business to locate it. Use the State License Number (permit number) to submit for renewal.

Administrative Adjudication (Administrative Hearings)
Local ordinance and code violations
Pay for a local ordinance or code citation. This includes citations issued by the Evanston Police Department, Northwestern University Police, City of Evanston Property Standards Division, and Animal Control, as well as citations issued for fire code, building code, health code, zoning code, or parks and forestry code violations. This is not a payment link for any moving violation, such as speeding tickets or parking tickets.
