Get ready to pedal into 2025 as part of Downtown Evanston's ongoing collaboration with Evanston Transit Alliance and Chicago Family Biking/Evanston Kidical Mass. From May through October, Downtown Evanston is bringing you two fantastic series of monthly bike rides that promise fun, fitness, and a whole lot of community spirit! The adult rides will be led by Evanston Transit Alliance, and the family rides will be led by Chicago Family Biking/Evanston Kidical Mass. All of the rides will either start, end, or pass through some part of Downtown Evanston. All rides are free, but please register for any dates that you plan to ride so that we can get an approximate head-count. Helmets are required on all rides. FAMILY RIDE
Kidical Mass is a hyperlocal family-friendly bike ride that is perfect for meeting neighbors, riding with kids as cargo, and for new two wheeled riders (training wheels not recommended). Bring the little ones and join us for a bike ride tailored for all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We'll cruise through Evanston's charming streets, creating lasting memories, and promoting a love for cycling among the next generation. Like the Tuesday evening adult rides, these family excursions are free of charge—just bring your helmets and let's roll!
- Start: This ride will leave from Raymond Park at 10AM (please arrive early to get situated -- time for kids to play and adults to socialize)
